General promotion terms and conditions

1. These terms and conditions (“General Terms”) apply to all promotions, competitions and offers listed below (collectively, “Promotion”).
2. In these General Terms, Tower means National Pacific Insurance Samoa (“NPI”), at times referred to “we” or “us”.
3. All Promotions are only open to residents of Samoa aged at least 18 years.
4. By entering any Promotion you are deemed to accept and agree to be bound by these General Terms, as well as the specific terms and conditions set out below for the relevant Promotion (“Specific Terms”).
5. Where relevant, policy terms, conditions, exclusions and normal underwriting criteria apply.
6. Information on how to enter the relevant Promotion, including any instructions in advertisements, printed material or websites will form part of the terms and conditions for the relevant Promotion. To the extent of any inconsistency in the information shown on the advertisements, printed material or websites, the General Terms and Specific Terms will prevail.
7. NPI will collect, hold and use your personal information in accordance with its privacy policy.
8. From time to time NPI may also use your information to provide you with communications on the full range of services it offers, or for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. If you do not want to receive such communications please let us know at any time by calling NPI on +685 20 481 or by [email protected].
9. Where a Promotion includes a prize, NPI reserves the right to request winners of any prizes to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity. In the event that such proof is not provided by the prize winner, is not received by NPI within a reasonable time after request or is not satisfactory to NPI, then that prize winner shall forfeit their rights to any prize.
10. NPI reserves the right to change, suspend or cancel applicable terms and conditions for a Promotion at any time without notice.
11. All decisions made by NPI are final with respect to all matters relating to any Promotion and no further correspondence or discussions will be entered into.
12. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NPI will not be liable for any loss, claim, cost, expense, liability or injury suffered by any person in any way associated with any Promotions or for any Prizes. Tax obligations, if any, are your responsibility.
13. All Promotions are bound by the laws of Samoa and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Samoa.

Samoa fuel voucher promotion terms and conditions 

1. These terms and conditions (“Terms”), and Tower’s General Terms available here, apply to the “Samoa fuel voucher” promotion (“Promotion”). 

2. In these Terms “Tower” means National Pacific Insurance Limited trading as Tower Insurance. 

3. The Promotion commences at 12:01am on 25 November 2022 and ends at 11:59pm on 28 February 2023 (“Promotion Period”). 

4. This Promotion applies if you have purchased any Eligible Policy (as defined in clause 6 below) online through the Tower website, through one of Tower’s Corporate Portals, in person or over the phone in a single transaction during the Promotion Period (“Eligible Customer”).  

5. If so, once Tower has received payment of the premium for the Eligible Policy or, if paying in instalments, the first payment instalment for the Eligible Policy, Tower will provide the Eligible Customer with a WS$50 fuel voucher (“Voucher”). The Voucher is a one-off payment and will not apply on renewal of any Eligible Policy. 

6. For the purposes of this Promotion, an “Eligible Policy” means any new Tower car insurance policy and excludes any other insurance policies with Tower purchased by any means including through Tower’s brokers or advisers. Further, to constitute an Eligible Policy, you must not have held that specific type of Tower policy for the relevant asset insured in the three months prior to the start of the Promotion Period. 

7. Tower’s employees and employees of Tower’s partners, brokers or advisors and for (each of them) their respective immediate families are not eligible to enter this Promotion. 

8. This Voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion, except for the Tower multi policy discount (if applicable). Each Eligible Customer is only entitled to one Voucher per Eligible Policy. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for any other benefit. 

9. Policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and underwriting criteria apply in respect of all policies. 

10. By purchasing an Eligible Policy during the Promotion Period, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms. 

11. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, Tower may suspend, cancel or modify this Promotion. 

Samoa cyclone certification promotion terms and conditions

1. These terms and conditions (“Terms”), and Tower’s General Terms available here, apply to the “Samoa cyclone certification” Promotion (“Promotion”).
2. In these Terms “Tower” means National Pacific Insurance Limited trading as Tower Insurance.
3. The Promotion commences at 12:01am on 25 November 2022 and ends at 11:59pm on 28 February 2023 (“Promotion Period”).
4. This Promotion applies if you have:
   (a) purchased any Eligible Policy (as defined in clause 6 below) online through the Tower website, through one of Tower’s Corporate Portals, in person or over the phone in a single transaction; and
   (b) provided Tower with cyclone certification by a Tower approved engineer, satisfactory to Tower in its sole discretion, as required under the Eligible Policy (“Cyclone Certificate”),
   during the Promotion Period (“Eligible Customer”).
5. If so, once Tower has received the Cyclone Certificate and payment of the premium for the Eligible Policy or, if paying in instalments, the first payment instalment for the Eligible Policy, Tower will provide the Eligible Customer with a refund of WS$200 (“Refund”). The Refund is a one-off payment and will not apply on renewal of any Eligible Policy.
6. For the purposes of this Promotion, an “Eligible Policy” means any new Tower house insurance policy with gale, windstorm, hurricane, cyclone cover as an optional benefit and excludes any other insurance policies with Tower purchased by any means including through Tower’s brokers or advisers. Further, to constitute an Eligible Policy, you must not have held that specific type of Tower policy for the relevant asset insured in the three months prior to the start of the Promotion Period.

8. This Refund cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion, except for the Tower multi policy discount (if applicable). The Refund can only be used once per Eligible Policy. Refunds cannot be exchanged for any other benefit.

National Pacific Insurance Facebook Competitions

1. The Promotion Terms and Conditions above apply to all National Pacific Insurance (NPI) Facebook post competitions (each a ‘Facebook Competition’).
2. By entering a Facebook Competition you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
3. To be eligible for entry into a Facebook Competition you must: a) follow all instructions outlined in the relevant Facebook Competition post; and b) be a Samoa permanent resident.
4. Each Facebook Competition will be open for entry until the closing date stipulated in the relevant Facebook Competition post (‘Closing Date’) and subject to any conditions or instructions stated in the relevant Facebook Competition post. Any entries outside of the stipulated entry period will not be accepted and NPI does not accept any responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
5. To the extent of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and in the information shown on a Facebook Competition post, these terms and conditions will prevail.
6. Only one entry per Facebook member is permitted, unless stated otherwise on the Facebook Competition post.
7. A random draw to determine the winner for each Facebook Competition will take place on the Closing Date, unless stated otherwise on the post itself.
8. Winners will be announced by NPI in the comments for the relevant Facebook Competition post as soon as reasonably practicable after the competition ends.
9. The winner must message NPI to accept the relevant prize within 5 working days once they’ve been announced as detailed in point 8. If the winner does not message NPI within that timeframe, NPI  may, at their discretion, arrange for another random draw to determine a new winner for the Facebook Competition or withdraw the prize.
10. The prize for each Facebook Competition will be detailed in the relevant Facebook Competition post. Prizes are non-exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
11. By uploading or submitting content (such as text, data, images, photos or names) (‘Content’) to a Facebook Competition, you acknowledge that you have right to use, upload and/or submit the Content.
12. By entering a Facebook Competition you grant NPI  the right to use the Content and your personal information (including name, city or town) for publicity purposes in connection with this promotion and agree to NPI ’s use of your personal information to contact you in relation to the Facebook Competition.
13. NPI  will not be liable for any loss, claim, cost, expense, liability or injury (‘Loss’) suffered by any person in any way associated with a Facebook Competition including as a result of entry into a Facebook Competition or winning a Facebook Competition prize, except where such Loss cannot be excluded by law.
14. NPI’s decision on all matters relating to a Facebook Competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. NPI reserves the right to change applicable terms and conditions of a Facebook Competition at any time, provided that no participant is prejudiced by the change.
16. Facebook Competitions are in no way endorsed, sponsored, administered by, or associated with, Facebook, and you fully release Facebook from any liability or responsibility for in connection with a Facebook Competition.
